FOR Executive Director

Eric leads FOR as California’s rivers face mounting threats, such as Governor Brown’s plan to build two giant tunnels through the Delta that would divert more water from rivers that flow into the San Francisco Bay-Delta, and Congressman McClintock’s unprecedented effort to drown a stretch of the Merced River by introducing legislation to remove its designation as a protected National Wild & Scenic River.

Prior to joining FOR’s staff as executive director Eric served as the executive director of the Tuolumne River Trust (TRT) where he doubled the size of the staff and delivered cutting-edge programs to protect and restore that river. Now, he is looking to do the same on behalf of more rivers in California at Friends of the River (FOR). Prior to TRT, Eric worked with the Sierra Club and the Union of Concerned Scientists in Washington, D.C.
