Need river gear? Got too much? Maybe you just want to make some money off that old bucket boat to buy your own self-bailer? Come to FOR’s annual river gear swap at American River Festival, September 7 & 8, 2013 at Henningsen-Lotus Park in Lotus, California. We already have an assortment of used kayaks, rafts, and boat frames with too many lifejackets and paddles to count and more! Help keep the tradition alive by signing up to bring gear or volunteer. How to get your gear in the swap or buy items
To Sell: There is no need to make any prior arrangements to sell your gear on consignment at the FOR Gear Swap. Just show up starting at 9:00 am on Saturday or on Sunday if you can't make it Saturday. Be sure to tag all your gear with your full name, you will complete a contact sheet when you arrive and be given tags to price your items. All items left on consignment MUST BE CLAIMED no later than 1:00 pm on Sunday. FOR charges a 10% fee of the sales price (excluding tax) for items brought and sold on consignment plus the required sales tax for El Dorado county. All price tags must be marked to include the 10% fee for selling thru the gear swap and the sales tax of will be added to the price at check out.
To Buy: Shopping begins at 9:30 am on Saturday and closes at 4:00 pm that day. We reopen for shopping on Sunday at 9:00 am and the last regular price sales must be concluded by 1:00 pm. All items left on consignment MUST BE CLAIMED no later than 1:00 pm on Sunday. Then at 2 pm on Sunday we hold a fire sale of all remaining items, including all unclaimed gear left for consignment. FOR reserves the right to pull items prior to the fire sale.
All sales are cash only - unless the seller is willing to take personal checks made out to them (you can check with the volunteers that day to see if a seller will accept checks and if there are any limitations) - FOR cannot accept checks for gear sales that are not FOR property.
All sales are final and all items are sold on an as-is basis with no warranties expressed or implied regarding the condition of the gear.
