I grew up in the Bay Area, fortunate to live near the coast, bay and wetlands, which started my lifelong interest in environmental conservation and water issues.  I started coming to the foothills and mountains 24 years ago with the plan of becoming a river rafting guide and have loved this area ever since, moving to Placer County permanently 14 years ago.

With the election of 2016 and the current political climate, I knew I needed to engage productively in a group that focused on environmental issues and protecting rivers, especially in the State of California.  I feel privileged and humbled to have been accepted into the River Advocacy Training School and look forward to being able to share all that I learn, with whoever will listen, and to make a difference in preserving these rivers in their natural state.
