My recreational passions in life are canoeing and fishing. These activities have drawn me to rivers. As I have gotten older, my focus has shifted somewhat from the activity to the setting – my appreciation and love of rivers has grown and my connection to them has strengthened.
As a fly-fisherman, in particular, I see the importance of conservation issues in relation to waters, and I have become more and more conscious of the need to preserve and protect our rivers. I applied for the River Advocacy Training School as a way to take action in the direction of my beliefs and convictions. I look forward to working with my new colleagues at Friends of the River, and it is my hope to that I can bring my experience and training as an attorney to bear as we work on these important issues.
