Growing up my parents encouraged my three older sisters and I to be outside as much as possible. I developed an appreciation for the adventures we’d take to the wild landscape of Big Sur or the sandy beaches of Southern California. From creeks and river to lakes and oceans, I’ve been fortunate enough to experience some of California’s most breath taking waterways. I’ve also seen the harsh affects that climate change and anthropogenic hazards have had on California’s water too. I want to be able to help conserve the future of California’s waterways for future generations to use and help educate the community on the importance of them.
