River Advocacy Training School

The 4-day training prepares River Advocates to begin their journey to inspire connection and action to protect rivers in their own communities.  River Advocates are selected in December through an application process and are invited to attend this training.

The training includes: an introduction to water policy, the basics of the policymaking process, how to be an effective legislative advocate, share about water solutions for a changing climate, organize community events, create an outreach approach to educating and engaging. River Advocates meet leaders in the river protection movement and learn from their stories.
