President, Cushman Rexrode Capital Corp
Bob Cushman is a licensed real estate broker and 50% owner of Cushman Rexrode Capital Corporation (“CRC”) and has been involved in the private lending business for almost 38 years. CRC’s primary emphasis is the origination and brokerage, and servicing of loans by all types of investment real estate. Bob’s primary responsibility is the origination, underwriting and sale of mortgage investments for private investment offerings.
Prior to forming CRC in early 1993, Bob was the president and a principal stockholder of Embarcadero Mortgage Corporation (“EMC”), a company, which he ran from its formation in 1976 until 1992. EMC specialized in the origination, sale and servicing of mortgage investments which were sold to private investors and pension plans. Bob had final authority over all operational matters at EMC and was instrumental in its becoming a well-known mortgage company in the Bay Area providing non-institutional financing to investment property owners.
He previously served on the Board of Directors and the Education Committee of the California Mortgage Association, and the Board of Youth Homes, Inc. (Contra Costa County).
He is a native of Boston, received his B.A. from Dartmouth College, moved to California in 1974, and resides in Lotus, California with his wife Faith. They have been members of FOR since the late seventies and have been active river runners since that time on many rivers throughout the west.
